Things to Do During a Pandemic II – Racing Cars
Thruxton Circuit sent an email offering discounts on Driving Experience days. It was an offer that was too good to be missed and number one son and I had a day out at Thruxton playing in cars. It was the first time that I’d been more than 20 miles from home since March! I’d done a driving school day before, 1979, sadly no photos. Back then I knew people, and I got a free go in return for flag marshalling for the day. The day was repeated a few weeks later at Donington, but again no photos.

Things to Do During a Pandemic – Gardening, May 2020
April, the weather was lovely, time to spare, why not do some tidying up in the garden. Caught my foot in the root of a shrub that shouldn’t have been there and tripped over. Good news, I didn’t hit my head on the large flower that I was rapidly heading towards. Bad news, my left arm landed on the edge of a plank of wood. The photo is from the first hospital appointment following the operation to screw my arm back together. Thanks go to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
