On the Monday morning after the BTCC meeting at Donington, instead of driving straight home, I drove down to Warwick and stayed overnight at the C&MC Warwick Racecourse campsite before going on to spend a day visiting the British Motor Museum in Gaydon.
I’d been to the museum before, but that was quite a few years ago and a lot has changed. When I went the first time, the cars in the collection were almost exclusively from BL/Rover group brands, but the museum now houses the Vauxhall Heritage Collection and there are many Jaguars in the Collection Centre. The Collection Centre was added when the museum was refurbished in 2015 and houses the reserve collection. There are around 200 vehicles in the reserve collection and it houses many oddities.
