Guitars

Not the best or most expensive collection of guitars, but they are at least a bit different.

From left to right:
Peavey Grind BXP 5 String Bass
It was ‘old stock’ being sold off by a music shop on Ebay. The shop knew nothing about it and I can’t find anything about it on the Internet other than the odd picture. It’s got a bolt on neck, active pickups. My guess is that it’s probably from the early 2000’s and made in Korea.

Squier Standard Fat Telecaster
I found this in a music shop in High Wycombe in about 2005. It was the colour. Details from the 2001 Squier price list:
Squier Standard Fat Telecaster, rosewood $379.99
One humbucking (neck) and one single-coil alnico (bridge) pickup; solid Agathis body: 6-saddle, through-the-body bridge.

Danelectro DC59 12 String
From Gumtree. A man in a car park! It’s a Danelectro, it’s wonderful.

Applause AE-35 12 String
Bought off of Ebay and came with an Ovation hard case. It’s from the same series and is a match for my Applause 6 string. I believe that it must be an import because Applause 12 string guitars weren’t available in the UK at the time.

Applause AE-127 6 String
Bought in the early 2000’s, this is one of the very few guitars that I’ve ever bought new. I wanted an Ovation guitar from the moment that I first saw one in the late 1960’s, unfortunately Ovation guitars cost more than my playing ability is worth. Applause is Ovation’s affordable brand.

Yamaha FG-440
Bought new in the late 1980’s, the excuse for this guitar was that Jenny want’d to learn to play.
